     I am 46 years of age, I grew up on a small family farm in the rural Midwest, and I attended public schools for all grades K-12.  My wife and I have been married for more than 23 years (having lived in the Pearland/Friendswood area for almost all that time), and together we have four beautiful children, one who is a Pearland High School graduate and the rest of whom attend Pearland ISD schools. 

     Our family members are involved in Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Band, Academic Decathlon, and three local PTAs.  Among our favorite activities are family reading (our current book is Beyond Band of Brothers the War Memoirs of Major Dick Winters by Dick Winters), swimming, riding bicycles, computing, camping,  gardening and museum-hopping.  We’re also loyal supporters of all manner of PISD extracurricular activities, especially sports and the  Pride of Pearland Band!
